| Your hosts, Graeme
and Kathy Ricketts, have been visiting Kangaroo Island for both social
and work commitments for over 30 years and also live on the property. Graeme a Builder and Kathy a
Marine Biologist & Business Manager purchased the property in 2001
when the dream of creating a peaceful retreat was born.
Graeme resigned his position in Adelaide and moved to Kangaroo Island to commence construction of The Mary Ellen Log cabin in late November 2005. The cabin was completed in July 2006. The construction of our own residence commenced in June 2007 and is now complete although there are plenty of ongoing ground works and landscaping to complete. Eleanor River Homestead will continue
to be developed with the expansion of natural walking trails, rest
areas and bird watching facilities in and around the property and along
the banks of the Eleanor River. |
